His book Bad Science has sold more than a quarter of a million copies. It reached number one in the paperback nonfiction charts and has been published in 20 countries. He has won numerous awards, including “Best Freelancer” at the Medical Journalists Awards 2006 and the HealthWatch Award in 2006.
He received ‘Best Feature’ at the British Science Writers Awards in 2003 and 2005, and the Royal Statistical Society’s first Award For Statistical Excellence in Journalism. Ben has given about 150 lectures in various schools and universities over the past couple of years. He works full-time as a doctor, with occasional forays into academia and medical student teaching.”
