“For the past decade, Dr Keith Eigel’s research interests have been focused on adult development and leadership effectiveness, incorporating all aspects of the person (work, family, and beliefs) into the leader’s developmental journey.
The focus of The Leaders Lyceum is on executive and next-generation leaders; emphasising the development of who they are and who they are becoming as a developmental priority if they are to increase their capacity for effectiveness.
Initially inspired by the work of Dr. Robert Kegan, a developmental psychologist at Harvard, Keith began to apply the principles of adult development to leadership in the mid ‘90s.
Working with colleagues from the University of Georgia and Harvard, Keith’s research with CEOs from some of the largest public companies in the world, showed that the leader’s developmental level (how the leader knows) is more important than what the leader knows.
His research and subsequent work has contributed to some of the most important thinking in leadership research around the world. Most recently his work has been cited in Dr. Keganʼs book, ‘Immunity To Change’, Kegan & Leahy 2009, Harvard Business School Publishing.”
