Huntaway Films

Huntaway Films operates in New Zealand and Australia. It’s based in New Zealand in Queenstown in the southern province of Otago and in Australia in Melbourne in the state of Victoria. If it was grown up enough to have a Mission Statement it might include the following: to develop and produce film, television, DVD and new media projects, to work with New Zealand and Australian writers and film makers, to record and tell good New Zealand and Australian yarns. No principled objection will be made to the prospect of making a quid.

Jay Cassells has over 20 years experience as an entertainment and intellectual property lawyer in New Zealand and Australia. John Clarke is a writer and performer: His towering ‘Faust’ is still regarded as a benchmark. His role in Huntaway is not clear although it is possible his wide experience with infrastucture will not be called upon and he may have to open gates and help put stuff in the truck.

New Zealand actor Sam Neill, formerly described as “media shy”, now as “outspoken”. He’s unable to describe what happened. He was born in Ireland of New Zealand stock. Still difficult to understand. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in 2002. His friends still asking why and demanding a refund. He’s disappointed he’s unable to write prescriptions, but insists on being addressed as Doctor nevertheless.
