Danielle Morrill is an expert in grass roots marketing, supply-side marketplaces, hacking the process and hustling for results, developing self-service sales processes and optimising online marketing. In her talk Danielle questions why we ask people what they are going to be instead of what they are going to make?

ABOUT TEDx

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED’s mission, ‘ideas worth spreading’. The programme is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.

ABOUT Danielle Morrill

Danielle-Morrill“Danielle loves connecting people and making their lives better through technology. In the past 7 years of her career (which “officially” began when she was 19 and joined a Fortune 500 company) she’s been a marketer, though she prefers the term ‘distribution hacker’ and business analyst.

Personally, she takes pride in her endurance and fortitude, and has no problem shoveling manure or working at McDonalds. In fact, she’s done both and loved it! Professionally, these days she’s more focused on becoming better a leader and building high functioning teams. Danielle is irrepressibly optimistic about the future, and endlessly curious.

She joined Twilio in March 2009 as Director of Marketing and first employee, with the mandate to acquire customers and build the developer community. She’s grown it from a few hundred to more than 65,000 developers, and they’re working to change the way developer evangelism is done with their team spread across the United States and Europe.”
